About
Stephan's story began in France in 1974. At age 14 he knew that he wanted to become a shoer. Stephan applied to the best school in France and was one of the happy 6% of applicants that were accepted at the prestigious National School of the Haras du Pin. During the three year program, he mastered basic shoeing and found his passion in orthopedic shoeing.
After completion of his studies, Stephan was accepted by the French cavalry, where he worked as a farrier for two years. He was sent to New Caledonia, where he stayed on to operate his own business for eight years, specializing in therapeutic and orthopedic shoeing.
The year 2000 marked a new beginning when Stephan decided to move with his family to California. The positive results of this new style of horse shoeing created and developed by Stephan continue to make his clients and, most importantly, their horses happy.
Stephan is now considered a specialist on orthopedic shoeing, especially for high-level competition horses. He will gladly answer any question you may have.
